The Eye of the Storm & How To Survive (Even Flourish) Thereafter

In factual terms, the danger of the eye of the storm are the winds circling that make up the eyewall which is the gnarliest part of it all! They form an unbroken line of extremely powerful downpours & winds can roar to 140 mph.As leaders we have all faced extraordinary times of crisis, challenge & scrutiny intensified by a connected real-time world & I wanted to share my top survival tips:1. Understand all aspects of your storm, its source, the component elements, its likely duration, wild card elements that may fan the winds & flames! Know your brutal facts & reality.2. Gather the v best courageous truth sayers & problem solvers who have the organisations survival at their core!3. Have a realistic adaptable plan & do not be too optimistic! As Admiral Jim Stockdale shared of his wartime experiences “it was the abject optimists who didn’t make it out", and they died of a broken heart.Herein lies for me the biggest attitudinal tip when at the eye of the storm “never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end–-which you can never afford to lose–-with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.”
