Eisenhower Matrix

Is anything really ‘Urgent’ at work? - The Eisenhower Matrix. For years I have been trying to achieve maximum productivity and happiness in life which has meant trying many new approaches to managing everyday life and work. I am sure like most of you the volume of emails, actions and to do’s mount on a daily basis and focusing on what’s really key often takes time and experimenting with new constructs and methodologies. For me, I kept coming back to the Eisenhower Matrix - which is also referred to as the Urgent-Important Matrix. This matrix is designed to help you decide on and prioritize tasks by urgency and importance, allowing you to sort out less urgent and important tasks which you should either delegate or not do at all.The Eisenhower Matrix is named after Dwight David Eisenhower– an American army general and statesman who served as the 34th President of the United States from 1953 to 1961. ... Dwight made extraordinarily tough decisions continuously about which of the tasks needed to be completed. However, this is a matrix that is often used within organisations to help colleagues to manage workload efficiently and certainly works for me!Are there any models that you have used in order to work through your allocated tasks? Love to get your inputs!
